Technology
The 2.0L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated SUBARU BOXER® engine has been redesigned for this model and incorporates some 80% new components to deliver precise response, exceptional fuel efficiency and unmatched reliability. This engine is designed to create a natural balance and unparalleled softness. The free-flow intake manifold and free-flow exhaust system support overall performance, and the active dual valve control system and direct injection system produce a dynamic response at low revs. Add to that the Lineartronic® CVT transmission or the five-speed manual transmission, this latest version of the Impreza offers a driving experience as pleasant as it is efficient. This engine is also PZEV
(Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) certified, a technology that almost completely reduces smog-causing emissions without compromising performance.

Interior
The AM/FM/MP3/WMA infotainment system comes standard with a high-resolution 6.5-inch touchscreen that works by sliding and scrolling. The system offers mobile phone connectivity and Bluetooth® audio streaming, an iPod® control interface/USB port, an auxiliary audio input, Aha radio® as well as integrated steering wheel controls. Compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM, the system is also able to offer the SUBARU STARLINK® feature, which allows you to connect mobile devices and access various applications and services using the touchscreen. On the Touring trim, this system has six speakers.

Safety
Available as standard on several trims of the Impreza, the SRVD system uses sensors to detect the presence of vehicles and has three different functions to ensure greater safety. Blind Spot Detection (BSD) alerts you to vehicles approaching behind the C-pillars as well as other blind spots using LED indicators in the mirror shell. Lane change assist detects vehicles approaching at high speed when making a lane change. In addition, when reversing from an entrance or parking space, the rear cross traffic alert issues a warning when cars are approaching one side or the other.
